EASY CROHET BEGINNER TOP PATTERN
Ch 18(,22,26,30,34,38,42) into the second ch from the hook, in the back loops only, hdslst, hdslst all the way down till you have 5 ch left, in the last 5 ch, slst.
Ch 1 and turn, back look slst into the first 5 stitches, then back loop hdslst all the way up.
At the top of the work, ch 8(12,16,20,24,28,32) and place a stitch marker into the last ch made of the row. Proceed to ch 11(15,19,23,27,31,35) and turn, slst into the second ch, back loop , and slst all the way to the stitch marker.
After the stitch marker, hdslst all the way down remember to slst in the last 5 stitches.
Ch 1 and turn, work your way up till the last stitch before the stitch marker, ch 1 and turn.
Work your way down till the end of the row. Ch 1 and turn.
Work your way back up as we’ve been doing, but stop 4 stitches before the end of the row. Ch 1 and turn, hdslst as normal all the way down, ch 1 and turn.
Work your way back up as normal, but stop 4 stitches before the end of the row, ch 1 and turn, hdslst as normal.
Rep this till you are left with the same number of stitches as row 1 of your work : 17(21,25,29,33,37,41). Ch 1 and turn, hdslst down.
At the bottom, ch 1 and turn, hdslst all the way up, now we will hdslst into the 4 stitches we were leaving in the previous rows.

Rep this till you are left with the same number of stitches as row 1 of your work : 17(21,25,29,33,37,41). Ch 1 and turn, hdslst down.

After you are done, do the very same for the back panel of the crochet top.
Lay them on top of each other, and with your crochet needle, connect the sides and the shoulders.
CROCHET TOP RUFFLES
Go around the bottom band (side slst) of the top and place a sc into every row available.
At the end of the row, slst to the first sc you made and ch 3. In the same stitch the ch is made, place and dc, ch 2 and place 2 more dc in the same stitch.
Skip one sc, and place 2 sc in the next, ch 2 and 2 more sc in the same stitch. You will rep this all the way around your crochet top.
When you make it around and back to where you started, slst into the first 2 dc stitches then slst to the ch 2 space of the first ruffle you made, ch 3 and place dc in the ch 2 space, ch 2 and place 2 more dc in the same ch 2 space.
Place your next ruffle in the next ch 2 space, we will rep this for the whole round. Rep this for as long as you want your ruffles to go.
At the end, ch1 cut the yarn and weave in all the ends.
Your crochet top is all done!
