Before you go on a roller-coaster of reading about the crochet drop shoulder cardigan, you can find the pattern HERE without wasting much time.
I planned to recreate the crochet sunshine cardigan because i had taken it apart to make crochet baby sweaters. It was a decision i found myself regretting the next winter.

Me remaking the cardigan means i have fixed a few things that needed to be tweaked and added a few options to make customization easier. It is a very simple cardigan and i believe we all need this staple in our wardrobes.
Remember, there is a crochet cardigan tutorial that comes with this pattern HERE

Best Yarn For the Crochet Drop Shoulder Cardigan
I used DK weight yarn ( more like 2 strands of 3ply yarn held together) of an acrylic yarn. This is the last time i am using this yarn as it is just the worst. It frizzes after the first wash and i would not recommend that yarn to anyone ever!
However, i will suggest a few options to replace the yarn i used: Option 1 Estak Daily Knit DK weight yarn, Option 2: Yarnart Adore DK weight yarn, Option 3: Caron Simply Me Merino
If you do not like any of these options then please go for something you are more comfortable with.

PATTERN
The Crochet Drop Shoulder cardigan is worked from side to side, so the right front is worked, then the back, then the left front all in one piece seamlessly. We then connect the cardigan at the shoulders and attach yarn to the underarm to work the sleeve onto the body of the cardigan together with the collar.
The entire cardigan is achieved using one stitch the half double slip stitch or the yarn over slip stitch which is what gives the cardigan the knitting feel.

SIZE GUIDE
The drop shoulder cardigan is designed to have 6″ positive ease as it is an oversized crochet cardigan. This ease lessens as we go higher up the sizes so for sizes from XL-2XL the positive ease might be slightly less.
Measure yourself before beginning your project, to determine which size will fit you the best. For example, if you measure 33″/ 84 cm around the bust (or around the widest part of your upper body) then you would go for the size Small.
