When we talk of crochet projects, crochet granny squares will always make an entrance. I mam a bit annoyed with myself that i had had this blog for a while but i do not have enough crochet granny square patterns. Well, things are changing from now on.
After making this granny square, i already have a project in mind for the crochet granny square pattern. Stay tuned, i will be turning these crochet granny squares into a crochet pencil case. I made a pencil case a few years ago but it was not as colorful and fun as this crochet granny square.

As a beginner, can i crochet this? Yes and No. Hear me out
Personally, as a beginner, i went for the big projects. I mean the crochet cardigans and crochet sweaters because i have no patience lol. It did not work out, and that is because i did not know how to maintain my stitch count.
I lost stitches or added stitches along the way. That was my struggle as a beginner. I worked to fix it then i was a pro (sorta). So if you know how to crochet straight edges, you follow instructions well, then yes you can do it.

If you are still in the stages of how to crochet a double crochet and have probably never heard of a treble crochet then maybe check out this list of beginner crochet projects?
With that said, there is a video tutorial so maybe that can make life easier?
Materials Needed
Yarn– I used 2 different weights, please do not do that, I’d recommend a DK weight yarn but truly any yarn will do.
