  • Row 2 ( WS ) : Turn, ch 1 ( do not count as a st ), 1 hdc into each st across. Total of 50 ( 56, 62, 68, 74, 80 ) hdc

  • Row 3 – Row 31 ( 33, 35, 37, 39, 41 ) : REP Row 2

Row 32 ( 34, 36, 38, 40, 42 ) : Turn, ch 1, dc in the next 12 ( 15, 18, 20, 23, 26 ) st, ch 1 and turn, dc back ch 1 and cut the yarn.

Rep this for the other side of the work to make the shoulder panel. Make 2 panels.

Sew the sides together

  • Fold your top in half at the shoulder seams with the right side facing each other, we’ll sew on the wrong side. Cut a new strand of yarn 20-30 inches (51-76 cm) long, enough to sew the side seams up to the arm pit. Sew 15 ( 17, 17, 19, 19, 21 ) rows of the front and back panels together at the side seam. Start sewing from the bottom up, using method of choice

  • *If you want smaller arm holes, just sew more st. If you want bigger arm holes, just sew less st.

To Make The Tassels

Adding Fringes (Optional)

Cut enough pieces of 12″ of yarn/fringe and if you’d like a shorter or longer fringe, just cut them shorter or longer but remember that the length of the finished fringe will be almost half of the length that you cut.

For example, I cut my fringe 12″ long and my fringe will be 6″ long before I trim the ends so my finished fringe is about 5 – 5.5″ after I trim the ends.

Fringe (Row 1)

Step 1: Take 1 piece of fringe and fold in half.

Step 2: Insert into the ch sp and make sure that the loop is big enough to pass ends through.

Step 3: Pass the ends through the loop and tighten.

Repeat steps 1 – 3  into every third ch space around

Fringe (Row 2) *making the knots

Step 1: Take half of the fringe from the left and right fringe from each fringe  tassel. These will combine to make the finished fringe tassel.

Step 2: Make a knot. I make a knot about 1 inch below the first row of the fringe knots.

Step 3: Tighten up.

Repeat steps 1 – 3 around.

Cut off any bits you do not like,

Weave in your ends. And your crochet boho summer top is all done.
