How To Increase A Crochet Half Double Slip Stitch

Increasing a yarn over slip stitchis exactly the same as increasing a regular crochet stitch. All you do is place more than one half double slip stitch in one stitch.

And just like that, you have increased.

How to decrease a half double slip stitch

Half double slip stitch two stitches together. You start a half double slip stitch as normal, before you finish it, insert your hookinto the next stitch, this should leave you with four loops on the crochet hook, slip stitch to finish.

And just like that, you have decreased.

Best Yarn For A Crochet Half Double Slip Stitch

The best yarn in working a yarn over slip stitch from my ecperienve is a DK weight yarn and a worsted weight yarn.

If i was to pick between the two, i would go for the worsted weight yarn.

The stitch can be rather fine, and so taking longer to finish than would a double crochet or half double crochet stitch. So i prefer usng a worsted weight yarn.
